Amanda Tetrus (Honor)
Your character is motivated by a deep sense of HONOR.
You are HONORED to be the next in succession for one of the most powerful noble houses of Amaranthum. You are HONORED to be a human. You are HONORED to be the most successful woman military commander in Amaranthum history. Despite these reasons to deserve HONOR, you always feel at least vaguely insecure - you worry that your place in succession is contingent on winning the next Imperial Election of Amaranthum. You worry that the non-human races won't vote for you, and that they are talking living space away from those that would vote for you. You worry that your brother's fame and popularity will lead to HIM becoming head of Tetrus house and win the Amaranthum imperial election. You worry that your military honors won't be recognized because they are qualified honors, that you are only the best AMONG WOMEN. You worry that your relationship with another woman will bring shame to your house.
INSPIRATION SOURCES
HIERARCHY: You gain inspiration each time you publicly demonstrate your superiority over another person.
SECRET ROMANCE: You gain inspiration each time you spend time with your lover, once per scene.
GOAL: ASCENSION: You gain five (5) inspiration if you make your father proud of you. You believe this will happen if you are elected to the throne of Amaranthum.
INSPIRATION USES
There are certain special cases where these abilities might fail, but these cases are revelatory to your character's arc, and move the plot forward. When an ability spending inspiration fails, special things happen.
DOMINATE: You can use inspiration to automatically succeed at intimidation. By default, this causes a sense of meekness and apology from the subject of intimidation.
COMMAND: You can use inspiration to command up to several hundred people. These people must be of lower social or military rank than you or want something from you.
VAST WEALTH: You can use inspiration to cause a person to accept credit (backed by your house) as payment.
BACKGROUND, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING
You are a 24 year old human woman. You grew up in one of the most powerful Noble Houses in Amaranthum, the Tetrus House. This birthright afforded you great opportunities, including training in languages, culture & etiquette, fencing, and military strategy. You are accustomed to meager living, as you have lived in the field, with your soldiers, during military campaigns you have led. You have killed in combat using Amaranthine Fencing style.
HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT THE OTHER CHARACTERS
Alexander: You worry that your younger brother, being male, may have greater favor with your father than you. Additionally, his being male would make him more likely to win the imperial election, his fame and popularity would make it nearly certain, were he to declare his candidacy, or if your father were to name him as successor.
Folwin: He is an academic - useful, but out of touch. You trust his input when it comes to science and magic, but you believe that he his out of touch with reality and the necessities of politics and command.
Sarkon: Sarkon was your father's bodyguard for a long time before he became yours. He is a true and loyal friend and you know that he has put the animalistic tendencies of Orcs behind him. You trust him in combat and will often ask for his advice on military matters.
Eugene: As a halfling, and an adventurer, you know that Eugene's goals won't always align with yours - his being profit, and yours being power. That said, those who seek profit are predictable, and can be manipulated through offering rewards.
